Since you’re probably already done decorating your tree by now, why not decorate yourself with one of these sequin and paillette encrusted numbers? Centre beauty is non-other than Oscar, who is accompanied by two 1960’s shift dresses.

We are surrounded by holiday festivities and parties right now. We are so busy with everything that sometimes dressing ourselves gets left until the last minute. Fear not, we are here to help. When you’re trying to stay away from your go-to LBD (little black dress), why not try a jewel tone instead? Emerald green is flattering on everyone and will make you stand out in a sea of black at your next event.

Lusting for some more lace in your life? One can never have too much, especially if it is Chantilly. It is the ultimate feminine fabric.

All of our display dresses this week do have sleeves but we’ve pinned them back. The option is yours, if you like them better sleeveless just have them removed-easy peasy.

The centre midriff gown is by none other than Oscar (RIP), hailing from the 1990’s and is a new arrival for us here at The Meow. Ms. Right is also wearing a 1990’s piece from Bill Blass, and the left features a 1970’s french (sans label) couture mini.

Could one of these beauties be your next holiday party dress?

Lately,  many future brides have been visiting us looking for a special wedding dress that isn’t cookie cutter. So this window is devoted to all of you future Mrs’s out there. Winter, summer or  anywhere in between we have many cocktail dresses, gowns, wraps, stoles, sparkly boleros and jackets for you to see. Already have your wedding dress? Why not stop in to peruse our vintage costume jewellery selection to give your special day a ‘something old?’ We are your one stop alternative bridal shop.

For the past two weeks the window has been featuring mostly contemporary designers. This week we are taking it back to our old school vintage ways.

We often field the question; How old does an item have to be, to be considered vintage?  The general consensus for clothing is anything 20+ years.  To which our ego then kicks in and refuses to listen to this because if you’re like us you don’t want to think of yourself as, dare we say it, “vintage”. *Gasp* So for safety’s sake let us set the turning point to 1980, shall we? We can all sleep soundly now.

Oh, and we will let you know when we have located the fountain of youth.

We have some new friends that we would like to introduce you to. You, this is Oscar on the left, Marchesa in the middle and YSL & their partner Blumarine on the right. They are fabulously fun to go out with, you should take them for a spin one night and introduce them to your friends.

Well it looks as though King Midas himself has given our display window his magic golden touch.

So with so many black & white tie events coming up this season, what will you be wearing? We’ve had many ladies through lately stating that they already have an outfit as a back up, but yet they’re looking for something else. To which we emphasize; you may have that dress in your closet, but how great will you feel in it? Don’t you want to glow? Let us find the perfect dress for you to wear, don’t let that dress wear you.
