All from the 1960’s, this week’s window is quite graphic. Not in the naughty sense, but in the visual sense. Grab one of these dresses and pair it with a pop of colour. You can do this either with a shoe or a clutch and you will be getting called “fresh” all day/evening long.
We love pastels mixed with grey. The combination makes for a romantic feminine look that is fresh and contemporary. A great way to mimic mother nature’s turn from frosty grey skies to colourful spring.
This is a very special month for us. It’s our shop’s fifth anniversary! We are so grateful to our customers for their patronage and allowing us the ability to do what we love. Our celebratory window is a rich turquoise and gold fusion.
We have gotten in some really special white and cream dresses as of late. So if you’re a bride to be or a young graduate who is in need of a great vintage white cocktail dress, then c’mon in!
This week’s window is brought to you by your breakfast plate. Egg yolk, yellow. So healthy and filled with the good stuff. Now we know a lot of you ladies are afraid to wear this colour, but you really shouldn’t be. We believe with a good lipstick you can pull it off, no matter what skin tone you are. Don’t be afraid, radiate and let them call you sunshine!
Imagine you live in the country, not a house to be seen around you, at one with Canada’s natural beauty. And one summer’s day, while doing dishes and looking out your front window, you see a peacock strut across your lawn! How could that be, this is far from India! But this is a true story, that happened to someone close to us. And it’s what comes to mind when we look at this week’s window display….
This weeks window is full of pastel power. All hand sequined on knit, these beauties hail from the late 1950’s. They are soft and feminine, but yet have the ‘wiggle dress’ effect that Marilyn would approve of. The middle Judy is making the others jealous with her added hand embroidered flowers.
So it happened again! Our philanthropist Judy’s just keep giving and giving, and giving! The polka number went to a very deserving home. So alas, we have a new window display.
This weeks window is for all of those brides-to-be. We received so many request from alternative brides that we got with the program and now have a great selection to choose from. So if your man put a ring on it, then come on in and see what we have for you!
We had to change the window early this week, as the middle Judy sold the dress off of her back. She’s very kind and giving like that, whatta sweet heart! We are slowly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with this weather here. Knowing sunny days are ahead, we have displayed some great cotton navy dresses. Navy is a great alternative to black, and fun to contrast with.
Go wild and be graphic with people! Show them who you are, make it very clear, black and white! Be loud, bold, and don’t settle for nothing.
